Flowserve Corp. Face to Face
Face to Face is a custom magazine about sealing technology that’s published by Putman Media for Flowserve Corp., who asked Putman to create a publication that could serve as a powerful tool for the company’s sales force. The goal was to educate Flowserve customers and prospects about its innovative seal technology and extensive engineering and service network that help industrial users get the most from their application. And because Flowserve is a global company, the information had to be applicable anywhere in the world.
To meet Flowserve’s needs, the Putman team talked with Flowserve technical and sales personnel to learn about seal technology, and to find out what is the most compelling factors that help retain current customers and get new customers. As a result, Putman set the magazine’s mission: To demonstrate how advancements in seal design technology combined with unparalleled experience and service are helping companies all over the world to provide cleaner, safer and more reliable operations.
The team decided to focus on case studies, because nothing demonstrates Flowserve’s abilities more than its legacy of experience and success. The result is a graphically attractive print publication with content designed to help readers finish projects that are cheaper, smarter, faster and more sustainable.
Putman’s editorial staff approaches all content with the mantra, “With performance on the line, experience matters.” Editors interview customers and Flowserve subject experts from around the world to develop high-quality, useful case studies that Face to Face readers can learn from — and which provides Flowserve sales reps with a dynamic instrument with which they can showcase the company’s abilities.
