Influential Women in Manufacturing recognizes 22 leaders

May, 2018 — We are excited to announce the launch of Influential Women in Manufacturing, a program focused on recognizing and honoring women who are making a difference in the manufacturing space. All of our titles — Chemical Processing, Control, Control Design, Food Processing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Plant Services, and Smart Industry — accepted nominations of women leading the charge for industrial innovation and manufacturing leadership in 2018.

“I am proud that Putman could play a role in shining a light on the extraordinary work being done by so many women in the manufacturing field,” said Putman Media CEO John Cappelletti. “Our hope is that their achievements will inspire other young women to join this dynamic industry and be a part of creating manufacturing’s exciting future. Congratulations to all IWiM 2018 honorees!”

For our inaugural year, we had quite the turnout. We received nearly 100 nominations from women with varying titles across many industries. In total, we named 22 women to this first class of Putman Media’s Influential Women in Manufacturing. Jim Montague is a 64th Annual Neal Award Finalist!

March, 2018 — The Neal Awards are an important achievement. While it’s likely that many writers do not receive the recognition they should from the panel, suffice it to say, if you do get recognized, your work stands out among the hundreds of B2B publications out there and deserves the accolades it receives – whether it be as a finalist or winning the big prize. And so it’s high praise indeed for Jim Montague to have earned this type of recognition to be a finalist in both the “Best Commentary Blog” and the “Best Technical Content” categories.
